Welcome Everyone!
|
School is back in session! It’s time to prepare for an awesome PTA YEAR! We are the new Area 2 Gwinnett County Council PTA Board and we would like to introduce ourselves to you…including the emails you can use to contact us. Our job is to provide the support and guidance you’ll need to lead a successful, vibrant, local PTA and to help you maintain your local unit in good standing status.
Welcome A warm welcome to all our returning and new Board Members and Committee Chairs. We wish you great accomplishments and a successful year in your leadership capacity. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. Some of you have reached out to us already about training your new officers and those who were not able to attend CLT this year. We are planning our School of Information sessions with your concerns in mind. If there are critical areas you’d like us to focus on, please let us know.
2022-2023 PTA Back-to-School Kits National PTA has provided a Back-to-School Kit to support local PTA leaders. Please visit the National PTA webpage and register to receive the DIY kit.
2022-2023 PTA Calendar of Events We are confident that each local unit has met over these last few weeks of the summer to finalize your calendar of events. Once your calendar is complete, please email us a copy. We’d love to hear about all the great activities you have planned for the upcoming school year. Here is the link to the PTA Transition Guide for your convenience.
Thank you for your dedication to our schools, teachers, administrators, and our children.

2016-17 Area 2 Council PTA Awards
Area 2 Gwinnett County Council of PTAs recognizes that there is a lot of work and commitment required to run an effective PTA/PTSA local unit, and so we are honored to recognize any Local Unit meeting the criteria to be awarded the “Area 2 Gwinnett County Council of PTAs Award of Distinction”. Most of the criteria will also qualify a local unit to apply for the Georgia PTA Model PTA Award, and we encourage every local unit to do so.
Also included in the list of awards this year are “Outstanding Principal“, “Outstanding Educator“, and “Outstanding School Nurse” at each level of education – Elementary, Middle, and High School. All submissions should be postmarked by March 10, 2017 and sent to:
